Contact questions
What is the Dart Charge contact number?+
The Dart Charge contact centre is 0300 300 0120, open every day, 8am to 8pm, including bank holidays. Use it for crossing payments, account help, refunds and general enquiries. It is a standard 0300 number, charged at the local-call rate from any UK landline or mobile.
Is there a different number for a fine (PCN)?+
Yes. Penalty Charge Notices are handled on a separate line, 0300 1313 120, on the same hours (every day, 8am to 8pm). You can pay a PCN by phone, but you cannot challenge one by phone: a challenge must be made in writing, either online or by post.
How do I contact Dart Charge if I can't use a standard phone?+
Use the Relay UK textphone service by dialling 18001 0300 300 0120 for the contact centre, or 18001 0300 1313 120 for the PCN line. The 18001 prefix connects you through a relay assistant.
Can I contact Dart Charge online instead of calling?+
Yes. There is an online contact form on the gov.uk service for questions and complaints about paying the charge, and a separate online route for challenging a PCN. The website itself takes payments 24 hours a day, so a straightforward crossing payment does not need a call at all.
What is the Dart Charge address for appeals and correspondence?+
Written challenges and correspondence about a Penalty Charge Notice go to Dart Charge, PO Box 842, Leeds, LS1 9QF. If Dart Charge rejects your challenge, the next step is the independent Traffic Penalty Tribunal at trafficpenaltytribunal.gov.uk, which is free and binding on both sides.
Are the contact lines open at weekends?+
Yes. Both the contact centre and the PCN line are open every day, 8am to 8pm, every day of the week, including weekends and bank holidays.
