Privacy Policy
Effective 17 August 2026. Plain English: what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to opt out.
Who we are
Dartfordcrossingcost.com is operated by Digital Signet Limited, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. For UK data protection law, Digital Signet Limited is the data controller for this site. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
You can read every page on this site without giving us any personal information. The site has no forms, no accounts, and no quote or alert service. The data we do process comes from two sources:
- Aggregate analytics: Google Analytics 4 records your visit (page viewed, referring page, device type, general location by country/region, pseudonymous identifier) so we can see which pages are useful. IP addresses are anonymised.
- Advertising cookies: when you visit a page that shows an ad, our advertising partners (see below) may set cookies or read advertising identifiers to select and measure ads.
Advertising and your choices
We monetise this site by showing advertising. Ads are served by Journey by Mediavine (operated by Mediavine, Inc.) and a network of authorised third-party advertising partners. The current partner list is published at mediavine.com/ad-partners and mirrored in our ads.txt file at /ads.txt. Those partners use cookies, mobile advertising identifiers, and similar technologies to select, deliver, and measure ads, including ads tailored to your interests based on your activity across different websites and apps ("interest-based advertising").
UK and EU visitors: our advertising partners rely on your consent, which is managed through Mediavine’s Consent Management Platform (the banner that appears on your first visit). You can withdraw consent at any time by changing your choices in the banner or by clearing this site’s cookies.
US visitors: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), interest-based advertising can be classed as a "sale" or "share" of personal information, even though we do not receive money for it. You can opt out by (a) using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control in the cookie preferences banner, (b) turning on the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, (c) opting out at optout.aboutads.info or optout.networkadvertising.org, or (d) emailing [email protected].
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, in aggregate. Google Analytics uses cookies and pseudonymous identifiers to measure traffic. Advertising cookies and similar technologies are set through Journey by Mediavine and its authorised partners (see "Advertising and your choices" above).
Service providers
We rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (DNS, security, and hosting for this site), Google Analytics (aggregate site statistics), and Mediavine (advertising). We require our service providers to process personal data only for the services they provide to us and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
International transfers
We are a UK controller. This site’s service providers, including Google Analytics and Mediavine, may process data in the United States and other countries. Where UK or EU data protection law applies to a transfer, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy arrangements or standard contractual clauses.
Legal basis
For analytics and advertising cookies, we process data on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given through the Mediavine consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.
How long we keep it
We do not retain personal data ourselves. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then aggregated or deleted, per our GA4 configuration. Advertising cookies set by Mediavine’s partners follow those partners’ own retention schedules, disclosed at mediavine.com/ad-partners.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the data we hold about you (access);
- ask us to correct it (rectification);
- ask us to delete it (erasure);
- ask us to limit what we do with it (restriction);
- object to our processing of it (objection);
- withdraw your consent at any time.
Email [email protected] and we will act on your request within one month. If you are in the UK you can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk. If you are in the EU you can complain to your local supervisory authority.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
